Our boy, Ryan Quan video guy just sent us back new product vids for our home and tournament poker tables. They look super slick, if anyone needs video work done, you should shoot him an email.

Niching it out - Affordable Casino Grade Poker Tables!

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

Sunday’s are catch up day’s for me! I usually have a coffee (or 3), and get down to following up on correspondences, fixing technical issues, or ponder how to move the company towards the next step (where we’re going, I don’t know. I just know we need to walk).

BBO Poker Tables is a niche company, and we try to work towards our strength. We realize that we’re not going to be the most custom, or even the cheapest option around, but from day 1, we decided we wanted to niche the segment of quality affordable. Quality means building our tables with the solid materials, and backing all our poker tables up with the industry’s best warranty, and affordable as in not having to interrupt your normal spending habits (like having to eat tunafish for 2 weeks).

Residing in the niche is where BBO Poker Tables is most comfortable, and in that same mindset, we have been developing a new project that we hope will appeal to a specific segment of the poker playing public.

In Mid-August, we are going to launch our newest poker table design, the “Casino X” custom poker table. The Casino X will be our first “PRO” table, focused at the small to mid sized card room demographic, meaning that it will be a solid wood, fully customizable table built to withstand constant play and casino wear and tear. The Casino X table will feature some very trick features such as:

- Removable Armrest (Seamless Armrest!)
- Our Exclusive Detachable Playing Surface System (No Screws)
- Solid Oak “X-Leg”
- Pre-Installed Dealer Tray and Bill Slot

Now you may say, “Yeah yeah, my local card room has the same table, you’re not so special!”.

To that, I would say, “Duh, we built the table for card rooms just like the one you play at smart guy!”.

But the ultimate difference is, we built our new Casino X poker table to list on average 60% less than a custom builder. The Casino X table will enter the market at less than $1,000. Take that smart guy.

That’s niche’n it I think. A fully customized casino grade table entering the market at less than 1K, in stock and ready to ship starting Mid-August.

Enough of the PR, sorry. I’m just excited.

BTW, we will also be launching matching poker table dining chairs for our line @ the same time. Here’s a production teaser picture.

BBTW, I’ve included a second teaser for the new color we are going to launch, chocolate…it’s pretty sweet!

2009 WSOP Poker Palooza Aftermath

WSOP

Back from a 30 hour trip in Vegas for the Poker Palooza Expo - I’m exhausted, have new bags under my eyes, noticeably chubbier, and probably took a few years off my life, but I’m still glad I was able to make it for the event. All the major players were at the event, and this allowed BBO Poker Tables to sit down and talk teamwork and strategies with a few of the big names in the game. I won’t drop any spoilers for you guys yet, but there is something potentially real big in the works between BBO Poker Tables, and a name that I’m sure everyone knows.

Before leaving, I bought new HD cam to document the trip, and once the footage gets cut, will post it for you guys to check out. There are a few pros, a few industry insiders, and probably wayyy too much narration on my part.

It turned out that we arrived on the first day of the WSOP, which was pretty sweet, and I was able to film a bit of behind the scenes at the main event.

Unfortunately, I left before the riot at the Rio, that would have been something worth filming.

In other news….
Got this nice pic from Mike in NC from his IPhone. Mike bought one of our V5 Series Specialized Poker Table last week and wanted to show off his setup. I especially like the Hollywood director chair look, very slick.
