Are We on Bravo?

Last week, George announced to the world (or you could call it facebook) that I would be competing against Laura for the title of Top Office Design. Rules are we each have $200 to redecorate and the facebook fans will vote on who did the better job.

Laura thinks shes gonna win with her craigslist bargain hunting skills but apparently she has never walked down every aisle of target out of boredom or office depot searching for the best way to stretch out a $10 gift card when you have no need for office supplies.

Anyone know where I can buy a clap-on disco ball?

Speaking of Bravo, Thom Filicia from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy may be redecorating a house with some BBO Poker Tables… but more on that later.

Unless you’ve been hibernating, you know that the Become a Fan Giveaway happened and a lucky fan won a Custom Graphics Ultimate Poker Table. Shout out to Gizmodo, the Poker Players Alliance, Poker Listings, Bluff Magazine and all the fans who spread the word for playing integral roles in making the Become of Fan Giveaway a success.

We’ve continued to giveaway free stuff on our facebook page so don’t be one of those unmentionables who un-fanned us when the contest winner was announced. Plus, Carlos “the Justice Enforcer” is always watching and you don’t wanna know what happens when he finds out that you’ve un-fanned us…

RIP - Gen II Custom Professional

It's so hard..to say goodbye..to yesterdaaayyyyEEEEE.

After an impressive 4 year run, we’ve effectively closed out our original BBO Poker Table, the Gen II. While built to withstand the garage warrior and rowdiest of card nights, we felt that the Gen II should be upgraded after all these years. We have created something we feel is superior to the Gen II is performance, and will be unveiling the new table the first week of February.

The final stats on the Gen II:
Units sold total: Approx 800
Updates to design or materials during the product lifespan: 4
Random story: BBO Poker Tables guard dog, Big Red the Bull Terrier was acquired via a mutual benefiting trade for 2 Gen II’s. Good trade all around.

The Day that Never Ends

Last week we shot our entire lineup of poker tables alongside our new graphics guy “THE RADOVAN”. Shooting all the pictures guerilla style took 10+ hours, and we ended our day at almost 1AM. On the bright side, we have some awesome shots of our tables to present to you guys.

Sometime during the day, Kyle (the Marketing Guy) shot this video.

WSOP Final Tabler Steve Begleiter for BBO Poker Tables….

A few weeks back, we received a call from WSOP final tabler Steve Begleiter, and after a very cool chat, we were fortunate enough to send a Nighthawk out his way. You guys may remember Steve from the 2009 WSOP where he had a great run into the final table.

What you guys may not know about Steve Begleiter and his impressive run in the main event is that he is far from a professional card shark. More comfortable at a well structrued home game, Steve made some great plays and caught some well timed cards to make the deep run to the final table. Recapping what it took to make it to the November 9 to me, Steve made a few very instictive moves to stay alive early in the tournament.

Congrats again to Steve for playing the tournament of a lifetime!

He send us a followup email yesterday:
